Vancouver, Washington 2012-2013
This project for the Chabad Jewish Center of Clark County, Washington, converts an existing commercial warehouse into a gathering center and synagogue for the community. The goal of new intervention is to create a cohesive vision for the basic components of the synagogue and its associated functions within the shell of a ubiquitous tilt-up concrete building. The Torah Ark, bimah, seating partitions, and interior wall symbolism are envisioned as modern wood elements and carefully placed into the space to create a place of inspiration and contemplation.
The Synagogue had its grand opening on April 28, 2013 and was featured in the Vancouver Business Journal.
